Herndon Career Center-A Standard For Higher Learning For 35 Years

The Herndon Career Center is a training center offered to graduate and post-graduate students seeking to gain the skills, knowledge, and work ethic required for getting your degree down the road or obtaining employment.  The center is located in Raytown, Missouri.  The center has a vocational school for those still in high-school.  The post-graduate program focuses on earning a certificate in a chosen profession.  The center has been working to better the lives of its students since 1973.

High school pupils spend approximately three hours each day at the center.  Buses take them back and forth from the center to their regular school.  Funding for the center is covered by the area school districts.  Meanwhile, there are two campuses approximately a mile away for those who have already graduated high school.

Classes offered at the East Campus and the West Campus cover a broad range of careers.  They include automotive technologies, nursing (CNA, CMT, etc.), computer networking, electronics, plumbing, cosmetics (i.e. working in a beauty shop as a stylist or beautician), and working in a home business.

The Herndon Career Center focuses on establishing good work habits.  Being willing to work hard at whatever you choose to do is critical along the path of success.  Being consistent and doing a good job is what separates you from the pack.  It’s the stuff that solid employees are made of.  Herndon understands this, and that’s why they’re so committed not just to giving you an education, but the values that go hand in hand with that knowledge.

From practical application of learned concepts to a dedicated staff of instructors armed with the latest in technology, the career center in Herndon stays on top of the latest industry standards.  They make sure that the information they provide students with is accurate and current to the given profession.  This is so important because if the information you receive is outdated, you may grasp the fundamental concepts of a certain profession, but not as much of it will actually translate over into the “real world”.  By having up to date facts, you’ll be fully ready for the job market once you earn your certificate.

The degree you earn could get you exactly where you’re going (for example, a plumber).  It may also be the first step down a long path (like if you want to become an RN).  Either way, choosing a profession is hard, but with institutions like the Herndon Career Center, help has arrived.  For more info about the center, visit their website at www.herndoncareercenter.com.
